About The Position
Total Primary Care is a growing network of over 50 clinics across Texas focused on men's health, family care, and behavioral health. They are looking for a friendly and organized Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for their Primary Care practice. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing prior authorizations, insurance verifications, co-pays, assisting with referrals, and ensuring the front office runs smoothly while maintaining a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a patient coordinator and/or 1 year of related training or equivalent combination of experience
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and protocols
- Positive attitude and high attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with warmth — on the phone and in person
- Schedule appointments, prior authorizations, insurance verifications and co-pays
- Assist with referrals, insurance verification, and patient follow-up
- Keep our front office running smoothly while keeping patients smiling
