As a Pediatric Dental Patient Care Coordinator at “APDO”, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for our patients. You will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your professionalism, exceptional customer service skills, and attention to detail will be vital in upholding our reputation for high-end orthodontic care.

Requirements

  • No Dental Experience? No problem! We provide on-the-job training for all the skills needed! (i.e., terminology, triaging emergencies, presenting treatment, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental coordinator role preferred but not required
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using or learning office software and scheduling systems.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns promptly, making them feel valued and comfortable throughout their visit.
  • Manage the appointment calendar by scheduling follow-up appointments, adapting to unique needs or requests of patients or parents.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members in person, over the phone, and through email and text to address inquiries, concerns, and scheduling needs.
  • Provide basic information about dental treatments and procedures, as well as triaging dental emergencies via phone.
  • Clearly present and explain proposed dental treatments and procedures to patients and/or parents, addressing questions and concerns to ensure understanding and comfort with the treatment plan.
  • Handle financial transactions and assist with payment plans as needed.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
