PATIENT COORDINATOR - 3NE-FT-DAYS
About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager and/or Director of Nursing, the Patient Coordinator ensures the delivery of quality patient care by assuring adequate staffing in addition to appropriate skills and abilities to meet patient problems. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring the appropriate utilization of resources. Assists the Manager in financial control of department; collaborates and maintains open communication with medical staff, administration, unit personnel, patients and patient families; assures regulations and standards are met and demonstrates support of the Jefferson Regional mission.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
- Technical or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting.
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, patients, families, and faculty.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Basic flexibility to adapt to changes with the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills preferred.
