About The Position

Franklin Dental and Braces - Macon (Gray Highway) is seeking a full-time Patient Coordinator. The Patient Coordinator will support the mission of providing excellent dental care, creating smiles, and memorable experiences. This role involves working with children, as they make up a significant portion of the patient base. Requirements

  • Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent.
  • Office experience in a dentist's or physician's office (preferred).
  • Experience with children's dentistry (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service to patients and parents at check-in and check-out.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and service limits.
  • Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
  • Greet parents and patients upon arrival and departure.
  • Keep waiting parents informed of appointment progress.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy waiting area and front desk.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensure accuracy in the patient's file.
  • Ensure service limits are recorded and communicated to the clinical team before treatment.
  • Prepare patient files before appointments, including pulling files, updating records, and verifying insurance and service limits.
  • Coordinate with the Clinical Team Leader and Doctors to facilitate same-day care.
  • Assist in meeting office financial targets by ensuring full hygiene and operative schedules.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and six-month recalls.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct callers, and take messages.
  • Make outbound calls to confirm appointments, reschedule no-shows, and follow up on outstanding treatment.
  • Re-file all patient records at the end of the day.
  • Adhere to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
  • Verify, inform, and collect out-of-pocket balances from patients before treatment.
  • Participate in local events and promote a positive company image.
  • Participate in morning huddles, show appreciation for peers, and highlight positive examples.
  • Other duties as assigned.
