About The Position

Schweiger is a leading dermatology practice with a significant national presence, dedicated to providing excellent patient care and fostering a positive work environment. The Patient Coordinator will be responsible for executing all front office duties and providing support to patients, providers, and staff at our Garden City Office. This role is open to individuals with no prior experience but who have an interest in healthcare, teamwork experience, are detail-oriented, and possess a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills.
• Must be professional, reliable and dedicated employee.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.
• Interest in healthcare.
• Teamwork experience.
• Detail oriented.
• Flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare Experience is preferred.
• Medical Receptionist Experience preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred.
• Prior experience working in a dermatology / medical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute all front office duties.
• Provide support to patients, providers, and support staff.
• Proficiently and efficiently handle all incoming phone calls, scheduling-related tasks and online leads in a timely and knowledgeable fashion while creating a positive phone call experience for each caller.
• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s).
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
