Patient Coordinator (Full Time)
About The Position
Schweiger is a leading dermatology practice with a significant national presence, offering medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology and allergy services. This role is for a Full-Time Patient Coordinator at the Riverdale Office, responsible for executing all front office duties and providing support to patients, providers, and staff. The position requires previous healthcare experience, or a strong interest in healthcare combined with teamwork experience, detail orientation, and a flexible schedule. Requirements
- Previous healthcare experience is required.
- Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent patient relation and customer services skills.
- Must be professional, reliable and dedicated employee.
- Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Open to no experience but has an interest in healthcare, teamwork experience, and detail oriented with a flexible schedule.
- Medical Receptionist Experience preferred.
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred.
- Prior experience working in a dermatology / medical environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Execute all front office duties.
- Provide support to patients, providers, and support staff.
- Proficiently and efficiently handle all incoming phone calls, scheduling-related tasks and online leads in a timely and knowledgeable fashion while creating a positive phone call experience for each caller.
- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s).
- Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
- Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
