This is an in-person position at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, located at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln., Dallas, TX. The role is Full Time, Days, with 36 hours a week, working from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm. The Patient Companion Virtual Care role utilizes technology for virtual patient observation and interventions to ensure safe patient care. This involves demonstrating competency in setting up and using virtual patient observation monitoring software, computer hardware, and communication devices. The position requires collaboration with hospital unit nursing staff to optimize camera visibility and conduct positive patient identification. Responsibilities include assuring alarms are activated with appropriate settings and are sufficiently audible, maintaining continuous visual observation of multiple patients simultaneously on a monitor, and ensuring a co-worker monitors assigned patients during breaks or other temporary situations. The role also involves redirecting patients promptly to maintain safety.
