This is an in-person position at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln., Dallas, TX. The role involves utilizing technology for virtual patient observation and interventions to ensure safe patient care. The Patient Companion will demonstrate competency in setting up and using virtual patient observation monitoring software, computer hardware, and communication devices. They will collaborate with hospital unit nursing staff to optimize patient visibility and conduct positive patient identification. The role also includes assuring alarms are activated with appropriate settings and are sufficiently audible, maintaining continuous visual observation of multiple patients, and redirecting patients promptly to maintain safety.
