About The Position
DaVita is seeking an experienced Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and (HHD) Home Hemodialysis in an outpatient setting. This role provides hands-on support, education, and care coordination under RN supervision to patients managing kidney failure at home. Previous dialysis experience required.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
- Comfortable working with medical supplies, blood, and needles
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays
- Physical stamina for long shifts and on-your-feet work
- CCHT required
- Previous dialysis experience required
Responsibilities
- Assist with training patients and caregivers on PD and HHD procedures
- Support clinical team with patient monitoring, documentation, and equipment prep
- Conduct home supply inventory and assist with arranging deliveries
- Monitor vital signs and collect lab specimens as needed
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, and social workers
