Hospital Dialysis Patient Care Technician - CCHT
About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care in a hospital setting. No dialysis experience required—just a passion for helping others. This role involves delivering one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease, monitoring and recording vital signs, setting up dialysis machines, observing treatment, and supporting patients physically and emotionally throughout their care. Additionally, you will educate patients on dialysis-related topics and collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Dialysis CCHT Certification - current
- Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
- Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare experience a plus (CNA, MA, Phlebotomy, CHT, BONENT certified)
