Patient Care Technician PCT
About The Position
DaVita is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment! No prior Dialysis experience is required! Complete a full-time, fully paid training program for 10 weeks. Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic. Float to various clinics during and after your training. You must be open to a flexible Full-Time variable/rotating schedule working 3–4 days/week, 10-12-and/or-14-hour shifts (alternating Saturdays) - Sunday's off! Flexible/open availability is required. Comfortable working up to 15 hours per shift. Early morning 4:30 / 5 AM availability is required. Seasonal, Part Time, Short Term or Per Diem schedules are not available.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Desire to work in a fast paced, high-energy clinic
- Enjoys working as a team
- Computer/Technology/Mathematically Proficient
Nice To Haves
- CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
