Functions as part of the Inpatient Services Hemodialysis Health Care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patients in accordance with FMCNA policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies. The position involves providing patient care under the direct supervision of a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse in the acute setting. Responsibilities include reporting and documenting incidents, promoting a safe and clean environment, and participating in quality improvement activities. The technician may set up and prime equipment for various renal replacement therapies, ensure dialysis machines are safe for use, and monitor patient well-being during treatments. Accurate documentation, calculation of dialysis parameters, specimen collection, and patient evaluation before and after treatment are key aspects of the role. The position also requires compliance with company policies and assisting with various projects.
