About The Position

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician for its Nursing Resource Pool. This is a full-time night position, with a listed shift of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., in Charlottesville, Virginia. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED and qualify through one of the listed education, certification, training, clinical-student, or recent-work-experience pathways. One year of previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Meet at least one listed qualification pathway: graduate of the Sentara Care Partner Certification Program; successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) program; completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School; Emergency Services training as an EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic; current enrollment in an RN, LPN, RT, or PT clinical program after completing at least one semester; or work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.
