This role involves prioritizing and delivering basic patient care, reporting and recording patient findings, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. The technician may also perform telemetry duties, monitor patients, and transport medications. Responsibilities can extend to health unit coordination tasks such as answering phones, managing records, and stocking supplies. The role requires implementing the plan of care as delegated, performing assigned duties within the Scope of Practice, and executing specialized procedures with skill validation. Fostering a safe environment by complying with safety policies and taking appropriate action in emergencies is also a key aspect of the position.
