About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. This full-time Patient Care Technician position is on the 6SW Medical Oncology unit at Loyola University Medical Center, working 12-hour night shifts. The technician provides direct patient care, supports patient testing and treatment, and assists physicians and professional staff. The role requires effective documentation and communication, confidentiality, and responsible use of time and resources.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist with ambulating patients using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to ensure patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
