Patient Care Technician
About The Position
DaVita Kidney Care is expanding its services to patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on patients who are transported for dialysis three times a week and to decrease avoidable healthcare costs. Teammates in this new service line will have access to DaVita's resources and will be instrumental in developing and growing this new service. The ideal candidate will have significant experience within DaVita, thrive in a start-up environment, be passionate about improving patients' lives, and possess a proven ability to get things done. Comfort working autonomously and collaborating with cross-functional teams is essential.
Requirements
- Prior Hemo-Dialysis experience
- Valid Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (OCDT) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook

Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track.
- Work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care.
- Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment, spending the majority of the day in direct one-on-one patient care.
- Meet and/or exceed clinical outcomes.
- Multitask to meet the needs of the service, patients, and SNF partners.
- Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
