About The Position
Landmark Joplin is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care to hospital patients in an acute-care setting. The role works alongside nursing, respiratory, and rehabilitation teams at a facility comprising a 17-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital and a 12-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit, supporting medically complex patients.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required upon hire.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- An organized, detail-oriented approach and a strong team mindset.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification for the State of Missouri preferred.
- Hospital-level experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, including vital signs, intake/output measurement, catheter care, CPR, restraint management, and bowel and bladder training.
- Accurately document care in the patient record.
- Support licensed nurses in meeting patients' needs related to personal hygiene, skin care, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, body mechanics, elimination, and psychosocial support.
