About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago’s western suburbs. It is part of a three-hospital system that includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. The Patient Care Technician performs direct patient care procedures, assists with testing and treatment, supports physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies, and helps patients ambulate. The role also includes documentation, communication, maintaining confidentiality, and using time and resources effectively to support quality and cost outcomes. This is a full-time position on a 12-hour night shift, described as two night shifts per week.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
