About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician who is looking to make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. No Dialysis experience is required - we spend the first 9-12 weeks in paid training!! Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic. Potential to float to various clinics. You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. What you can expect: Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Educate patient on kidney disease. Technician Duties: To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles. Working on a cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be comfortable working around blood and needles and mixing acid or bicarb
• Must be comfortable working 8-12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week, flexible in schedule

Nice To Haves

• Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
