PCT - Perioperative Care Unit (PCU) 0.9FTE/evening
About The Position
Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. Pay range: - Hourly $24.95 - $36.91 Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is currently seeking Patient Care Technicians (CNA) for our Perioperative Care Unit. This unit is responsible to prepare patients for surgical procedures. Patient populations include Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and General Surgery. The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. 0.9 FTE / 32 hours per week 12 hour Evening shift / Variable schedule TBD
Requirements
- Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
- 1+ year working in a hospital environment as a CNA strongly preferred.
- Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) also required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire)
- Health Care Provider CPR Certification required.
- One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
