The Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Neuro Tele unit provides direct patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences. This role involves collecting and reporting patient data, supporting admission, transfer, and discharge processes, and performing technical procedures safely while documenting care accurately. The PCT collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs, maintains a clean and safe environment, and proactively meets patient and visitor needs. Teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines are essential. The PCT also participates in process improvement, adheres to safety goals, and advocates for patients. This position is located at Texas Health Fort Worth, an 851-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital serving Fort Worth and surrounding Tarrant County communities since 1930. The hospital offers advanced care in cardiovascular services, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, neurosciences, orthopedics, and emergency medicine, with certified programs in Advanced Hip and Knee Replacement, Brain Tumor Treatment, Comprehensive Spine Program, and Advanced Palliative Care. It also features a kidney transplant program and supports Graduate Medical Education (GME).
