About The Position

The incumbent, under general supervision and according to established policies & procedures, is responsible for preparing the patient to be seen by the physician or provider. The Patient Care Technician will ensure all patients are seen in an expedient and timely manner in the examination rooms in the outpatient facility. This role involves assisting with the setup and preparation of patients and equipment for procedures, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, checking patient vitals, documenting intake information, and entering patient data into the Electronic Medical Record system. The technician will also review patient charts, ensure necessary paperwork is available, collect urine samples, and order supplies and equipment for patient procedures. Other duties may be assigned as determined by the needs of CPMP.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Graduate from a Patient Care Technician or a Certified Nursing Assistant program or six (6) months of direct patience experience or completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited Nursing/Medical/Health professions program which included both didactic and clinical rotations.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Physician office experience.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities
