About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Joints department at Saint Thomas Midtown facility in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time and operates on the night shift. The technician will be responsible for obtaining and recording vital signs, monitoring fluid intake and output, performing blood draws, and providing direct patient care including assisting with daily living activities.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Obtains and records vital signs, accurately charting patient data and promptly reporting abnormal findings.
Monitors and documents fluid intake and output, supporting safe patient care and clinical decision-making.
Performs blood draws as trained, following proper phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
Provides direct patient care, including rounding with patients and assisting with activities of daily living to support comfort and mobility.
