About The Position

If you are a caretaker at heart, consider joining the Beverly Hospital team as a Nursing Assistant under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide basic patient care activities in providing for the personal needs, comfort and safety of your patients.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills (preferred)
Medical terminology (preferred)
CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire

Responsibilities

Provide basic care activities and provide personal needs, comfort and safety of your patient.
Assist with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Focus on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change.
Take Vital Signs
Measure Height and Weight
Measure Oxygen Saturation
Report all unusual observations to the nurse
Collect various specimens for analysis
Record and measure intake and output
Provide patient with personal care and assist with daily activities
Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RN
Provide nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding.
