About The Position

As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. You will support patients and nursing staff by assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and organized care environment. Your contributions ensure patients receive compassionate and efficient care, enhancing their overall experience. Our Southfield Emergency Department is a high-volume Level II Trauma Center that provides care to patients across a wide range of acuity, including trauma, medical emergencies, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, behavioral health, and other emergent conditions. Our team works in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, communication, flexibility, and a strong commitment to patient safety are essential.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Nice To Haves

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

• Aid with the movement and placement of patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, promoting their independence and well-being.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is properly cared for and ready for use.
