Ready to join our quest for better? CDH Medical Care Center (4 A/B/C) is a 72 bed unit serving adult general medical and medical oncology patients. The patient population includes young adults (age 18) to geriatric. Adult medical patients are typically admitted with gastrointestinal disorders and heart or lung conditions ranging from acute episodes to chronic. Other diagnoses include uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, as well as secondary conditions such as kidney disease or diabetes. Medical Oncology patients include those receiving treatment and palliative/hospice care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed
  • CPR – Basic Life Support

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
  • Graduate of Phlebotomy course

Responsibilities

  • Serving adult general medical and medical oncology patients.
  • Providing patient care to a population ranging from young adults (age 18) to geriatric.
  • Managing patients with gastrointestinal disorders, heart or lung conditions, uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, kidney disease, or diabetes.
  • Caring for medical oncology patients and those receiving palliative/hospice care.
