About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care in a hospital setting. This role involves delivering one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease, monitoring and recording vital signs, setting up dialysis machines, and observing treatment. The technician will also support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care and educate them on dialysis-related topics. Collaboration with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members is essential.

Requirements

• Dialysis experience and certification is required
• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
• Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
• Flexibility to float between facilities as needed

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience a plus (CNA, MA, Phlebotomy, CHT, BONENT certified)
• Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.
