About The Position
Sentara Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Medical Oncology at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The role involves providing daily patient care under the direct supervision of a nurse, including taking vital signs, drawing blood, and assisting with patient needs. The technician also supports admission and discharge processes and provides personal care such as changing, bathing, ambulating patients, and Foley catheter care. The position is described as a Flexi role with a rotating shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet at least one listed qualification: graduate of the Sentara Care Partner Certification Program; successful completion of CNA, NCMA, or NCPCT certification; completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School; completion of emergency services training including EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic; current enrollment in a clinical program (RN, LPN, RT, or PT) with at least one semester completed; or current work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities
