About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is part of a collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with patients’ daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps nurses monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. The PCT contributes to patient comfort and dignity through attentiveness, empathy, and teamwork. This is a float-pool, PRN/on-call/as-needed position at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
