Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Performing customer service duties.

Experience providing patient care.

Responsibilities

Serve as a personal contact, provide support and help to alleviate stress for families of surgical patients during the perioperative period;
Track the patient’s surgical journey and alert patient’s family of their status as applicable;
Observe patient’s condition and immediately communicate changes or concerns to the assigned RN or a supervisor;
Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher and vice versa as needed;
Follow emergency procedures including use of CPR if necessary;
Escort patients out of the building following discharge;
Stock department equipment and supplies.
