Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join their team. This role supports a smooth surgical experience and provides essential care and comfort to patients and their families at the main ROC location. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Performing customer service duties.

Experience providing patient care.

Responsibilities

Serve as a personal contact, provide support and help to alleviate stress for families of surgical patients during the perioperative period.
Track the patient’s surgical journey and alert patient’s family of their status as applicable.
Observe patient’s condition and immediately communicate changes or concerns to the assigned RN or a supervisor.
Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher and vice versa as needed.
Follow emergency procedures including use of CPR if necessary.
Escort patients out of the building following discharge.
Stock department equipment and supplies.
