Patient Care Techncian -Futllime-Nights - Float Pool
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works in a technical, fast-paced, and challenging environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to provide care for patients. The role assists with patient care and provides support services to patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This is a full-time Float Pool position on the night shift, with a stated schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 12-hour shifts three days per week; days of the week vary. The position is at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, a 443-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. The hospital is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and provides services including behavioral health and addiction recovery, inpatient rehabilitation, and long-term acute care.
Requirements
- Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program; or have one year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility; or be a nursing student who has documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program; or have documented military experience as a medic/corpsman; or be a foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support card required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
