About The Position

The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and supports the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, and documenting patient data. They are responsible for maintaining high patient and family satisfaction by providing care based on individual needs. This role systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of assigned duties, reflects on their own nursing practice in relation to standards and regulations, and acquires and maintains current knowledge relevant to their assigned duties. Patient Care Technicians interact with and contribute to the development of peers, deliver care in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory, sensitive, and culturally competent manner, and collaborate with clients, family members, significant others, and health care providers. Effective communication with clients, families, and other health care professionals is essential.
