Requirements
- Completion of nursing assistant program or completion of first block of nursing program
- Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ, upon hire
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Responsibilities
- Delivers essential direct patient care under the supervision of the clinical team.
- Assists patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitors vital signs.
- Documents observations.
- Maintains a therapeutic and organized patient environment.
- Works closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport.
- Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested.
- Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
- Assists with patient admission, discharge, and transfer and/or transport patients throughout the hospital as needed.
- Orients patients to room/routine.
- Monitors and records patient vital signs, weight, positioning, ADL's, I&O, activity and blood glucose readings per RN instructions, hospital protocols, and standards of care.
- Obtains specimens as directed and according to hospital protocol.
- Demonstrates respect for/protection of patient rights including closing doors or curtain while providing care.
