About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago’s western suburbs. The Patient Care Technician performs direct patient care procedures, supports patient testing and treatment, and assists physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies. The role includes helping patients ambulate with assistive devices, maintaining effective documentation and communication, protecting confidentiality, and using time and resources effectively to support quality and cost outcomes.

Requirements

Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of direct patient care procedures.
Assists with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
Assists physicians and professional staff with equipment, supplies, and setup.
Assists patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
Completes required documentation and communicates competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
Maintains strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
Uses time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
