About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago’s western suburbs. The Patient Care Technician performs direct patient care procedures, supports patient testing and treatment, and assists physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies. The role includes helping patients ambulate with assistive devices, documenting care, communicating effectively with patients and families, maintaining confidentiality, and using time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
