Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), is looking for a part-time Patient Care Technician to join our Oncology team in Springfield, MA. SCHEDULE: Part-Time, 24 hours a week 7am-7:30om Rotating Holidays and Weekends Springfield 3- Oncology The Oncology is a full-service 23 bed unit providing a wide array of inpatient therapies and comfort measures. The unit provides chemotherapy treatment, end of life care, and houses general medical/surgical patients and specialty oncology patients. This unit features a solid team with longevity on staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health, Patient Care Technicians (PCT) play a hands-on role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care alongside our nursing team. Under the supervision of an RN, you'll assist with direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and vital sign monitoring. PCT’s perform a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing. This role also includes assisting with procedures, patient transport, equipment management, and supporting emergency response protocols. QUALIFICATIONS: This position is part of a career ladder and hiring level determined by Recruitment.
