Patient Care Technician - 24 hour night shift Geriatric Psych
About The Position
Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. The role assists patients with a range of injuries, illnesses, and disabilities while providing exceptional care. The technician helps patients with activities of daily living and performs selected tasks that support patient care and unit operations. Care must follow hospital procedures and protect patients’ safety and dignity. The technician may also perform secretarial tasks to support the flow of the unit. This is a part-time position scheduled for 24 hours on the night shift, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification from the AMA or Red Cross.
Responsibilities
- Assist assigned patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, fluid intake, elimination, bathing, and dressing.
- Deliver ice and beverages to patients as directed.
- Transport patients.
- Collect specimens.
- Distribute linens and supplies to patient rooms.
- Provide care according to hospital procedures while protecting patients’ safety and dignity.
- Perform secretarial tasks as needed to support the flow of the unit.
