About The Position

Patient Care Technician positions at MD Anderson Cancer Center are vital to supporting patient care. This specialized unit provides nursing care to patients with complex needs, including airway management, microvascular flap monitoring, and wound care. Team members in this unit play an important role in ensuring patient safety and comfort while working in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a Patient Care Technician, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and contribute to the mission of Making Cancer History®. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably experience in direct patient care or an acute care setting. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

• Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs
• Assist with activities of daily living, mobilization, admission/discharge processes, and obtaining vital signs
• Update and retrieve patient information accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment
• Participate as part of an assigned care team
• Perform other duties as assigned
