About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is part of a collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care. The PCT assists with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, helps nurses monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contributes to a safe and welcoming environment. The role uses attention, empathy, and teamwork to support patient comfort and dignity.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
• Assist patients with daily needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care.
