About The Position

Loyola Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Acute Rehab on PRN nights. The role performs direct patient care procedures, assists with patient testing and treatment, and supports physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies. The technician also helps patients ambulate using assistive devices, completes required documentation, communicates effectively with patients and families, and maintains confidentiality. Loyola Medicine is a three-hospital academic, quaternary care system serving Chicago's western suburbs and is a member of Trinity Health.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment, supplies, and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to ensure patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
