About The Position

Loyola Medicine is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician for the 6SW Medical Oncology unit. Loyola Medicine is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago’s western suburbs and is part of Trinity Health’s three-hospital system, which includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. The role supports direct patient care and assists with testing, treatments, and care-team workflows while helping meet patient and family needs.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist with ambulating patients using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
