About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You will assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, help RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contribute to comfort and dignity for each patient. The role supports patient care and recovery through preparation, mobility, transfers, comfort measures, non-medicated care, and maintaining clean, organized, and stocked patient areas. You will also help manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness, while communicating with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality. Medical City Frisco is a 60+ bed acute care hospital and a Medical City Plano facility. It offers adult and pediatric surgery, orthopedics, robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery, imaging, emergency services, women’s health services, childbirth options, and a Level II NICU. The hospital is silver LEED certified for environmental and energy efficiency.

Requirements

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
No experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
Support Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
