Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- 1 (one) year acute or post-acute care experience
- Completion of nursing assistant program, EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program
- Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Responsibilities
- Deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team.
- Perform a range of daily duties leveraging knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology.
- Actively assist patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitor vital signs.
- Document observations.
- Maintain a therapeutic and organized patient environment.
- Work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport.
- Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested.
- Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
- Assists with patient admission, discharge, and transfer and/or transport patients throughout the hospital as needed.
- Orients patients to room/routine.
- Monitors and records patient vital signs, weight, positioning, ADL's, I&O, activity and blood glucose readings per RN instructions, hospital protocols, and standards of care.
- Obtains specimens as directed and according to hospital protocol.
- Demonstrates respect for/protection of patient rights including closing doors or curtain while providing care.
