About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Medical Progressive Care Unit at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. The position is full-time or part-time and is night only. The technician will support patients with daily living activities and personal care, ensuring their dignity and comfort. They will also protect patient safety by assisting with movement, positioning, and transfers, and advocate for patient well-being by observing and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team. Additionally, the technician will help create a healing environment by maintaining clean patient rooms and ensuring medical equipment is ready for use.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Previous acute care experience
Previous CNA, Home Health or PCT experience

Support patients with their daily living activities and personal care, ensuring they maintain their dignity and comfort throughout their hospital stay.
Protect patient safety by assisting with careful movement, positioning, and transfers to prevent injury and promote physical recovery.
Advocate for patient well-being by observing and reporting any changes in their physical or emotional condition to the nursing team for immediate clinical attention.
Create a healing environment by maintaining clean, organized patient rooms and ensuring that essential medical equipment is ready for use at a moment's notice.
