About The Position
The Patient Care Technician provides care to postpartum patients and supports the nursing team. The role includes accurately measuring and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; reporting abnormal findings; and helping put patients at ease. The technician works collaboratively with nurses and is expected to provide attentive, patient-first care.
Requirements
- Experience as a Nurse's Aide or in an equivalent role.
- High school diploma.
- Completion of an approved phlebotomy program.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Energetic and approachable, with a desire to put patients first.
Responsibilities
- Measure and record patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately.
- Report abnormal vital-sign findings.
- Help patients feel at ease.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to support patient care.
