About The Position
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, including taking vital signs, health histories, and assisting with examinations and procedures. The role also involves preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and performing routine tests. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician will assist with clerical tasks such as scheduling and answering phones.
Requirements
- Graduate of State Certified Program and High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a technician program or hospital program
- EKG/Phlebotomy/BLS Certification required
- Minimum of one year experience required
- OHS FIT TEST
Responsibilities
- Take and record patient's height/weight, health history, and vital signs including blood pressure
- Perform blood drawing and EKGs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms
- Sterilize equipment
- Assist in clerical procedures including scheduling patients and answering phones
- Perform routine tests such as urinalysis, blood sugar and hematocrit
