About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is part of a collaborative nursing team and supports Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with daily patient needs, including vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. The PCT uses attention, empathy, and teamwork to support patient comfort, dignity, safety, and recovery.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• High school graduate or GED.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses in monitoring patient conditions and carrying out care plans.
