Ready to join our quest for better? This is a 72 bed unit serving adult general medical and medical oncology patients. The patient population includes young adults (age 18) to geriatric. Adult medical patients are typically admitted with gastrointestinal disorders and heart or lung conditions ranging from acute episodes to chronic. Other diagnoses include uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, as well as secondary conditions such as kidney disease or diabetes. Medical Oncology patients include those receiving treatment and palliative/hospice care.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed
CPR – American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy experience
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
Graduate of Phlebotomy course

Responsibilities

Serve adult general medical and medical oncology patients.
Care for patients ranging from young adults (age 18) to geriatric.
Manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders, heart or lung conditions, uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, kidney disease, or diabetes.
Provide care for medical oncology patients and palliative/hospice patients.
