About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs non-licensed patient care in accordance with established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. The role promotes teamwork with all members of the healthcare team and performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet at least one of the following qualifications: current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.); current nursing student who has completed a nursing fundamentals course within 90 days of employment; documented work experience as a PCT, Nurse Assistant, EMT, or Surgical Tech within the last 3 years; or successful completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the last 3 years.
